Everest Circuit Trek Update

everest circuit trek

March 27, 2015

This post goes to confirm why re rate our Everest Circuit trek as the best Nepal trek you could do. The fantastic weather certainly played its part as our group cruised along and into Gokyo. Along the way they passed the sacred Gokyo Lakes which looked about as spectacular as we’ve ever seen them. The following day the team jagged perfect weather again for their hike to the summit of Gokyo Ri. We consider the vantage point from the top of Gokyo Ri to be the best place (you can access by trekking) to view Mt Everest. As you look through the images in our photo gallery below we’re confident you’ll agree. Watch our video filmed from the top of Gokyo Ri.

Thanks to our Follow Us Live technology, we can see that our group is well and truly moving along. After leaving Gokyo, they have now trekked all the way around and into the main Everest valley. The usual Everest Circuit trek crosses the Cho La Pass but given the recent snowfalls this route isn’t currently possible. As our team approach Pheriche, they are now only 2 – 3 days from Everest Base Camp. (Being able to cross the Cho La Pass due to snow, added considerable distance to their itinerary but they have done a great job getting to Pheriche today).

Be sure to check in with us again shortly as the team are now only two days from Gorak Shep and Kala Patthar.
