Everest Circuit Trekking to Namche Bazaar

Today our Everest Circuit trekking team will be up early. Our groups typically start earlier than most others this day for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it can get very hot and dusty on the Namche Hill so we work to minimise this by using the coolest (morning) hours of the day. Not commonly known is that below 3500m it can get very warm at this time of year so we need to be mindful of this given the significant amount of uphill our team will be doing today.

The final 2 -3 hour uphill walk to Namche Bazaar involves around 800 vertical metres. Slow and steady is the order of the day and it’s really important nobody feels the need to rush. If the weather is clear, our crew will get their first opportunity to see Mt Everest around halfway up the Namche Hill. The image below gives a small taste of what will follow in the coming days.

News from our Everest Circuit trekking team

News from our Everest Circuit Trekking team leader Tika Tamang that our group have all made in to Namche Bazaar in good time. A great time was had by all ascending the Namche Hill (we may have taken some licence there) and they’re currently in shower, eat and rest mode at the wonderful Namche Hotel.  Namche Hotel proprietors (and our good friends) Ang Maya and Dorjee Sherpa will be showing our team some fine Khumbu hospitality.
