Do you want to visit the Everest region but you don’t have much time? When it comes to short Everest treks Trek Climb Ski Nepal have you covered. We receive plenty of enquiries from time-poor people wanting to trek to Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp is situated at 5300m so to trek to Everest Base Camp safely – allowing for a proper acclimatisation schedule – will take you 8 – 9 days (and that’s just for the way in!).

It’s true there are plenty of Nepal tour operators that will happily offer Everest Base Camp treks on shorter itineraries but the fact is if you are taking less than 8 days to get there (from Lukla) – and you have not previously acclimatised, you aren’t doing it safely and you run the risk of altitude illness. So you need to be careful when selecting from the range of short Everest treks being advertised.

The short video below highlights some of the views you can expect to see on our short Everest Trek.

Our Everest View Trek

So if you only have a week or so and you want to trek in the Everest region, with plenty of opportunities to see Mt Everest, what is a suitable and safe option? We have a great solution in the form of our Everest View Trek. This is an 8 day adventure in total and you’ll have at least 3 days at 3440m or higher. Each of these 3 days you’ll experience great views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and a host of other 6000m plus peaks.

When it comes to short Everest treks, we think this represents the perfect itinerary. As with all Trek Climb Ski Nepal trips, we can easily tailor this itinerary to add or delete days as might be required. But if you only have 7 – 8 days to spare then in our opinion, this is the best of our short Everest treks.

Highlights of our short Everest treks

  • Spectacular mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla return
  • 3 nights at The Namche Hotel in Namche Bazaar (link to Namche post)
  • Visits to the Everest View Hotel, Sherpa Culture museum, Khumjung or Thame, Namche Monastery
  • Final night celebration at Namaste Lodge in Lukla

Short Everest treks like this one are also a great add-on for people trekking in the Annapurna region that also want to visit the Everest region.

When it comes to trekking or climbing in Nepal, our recommendation is to always to maximise the time you have available. If you have 22 days up your sleeve then you can’t go past an Everest Circuit trek which takes in every highlight trekking in the Everest region offers. But if you only have a week then the Everest View Trek is for you.
