Trekking Nepal summary – Annapurna region

Annapurna Introductory  (12 days – easy)
This is a fantastic trekking in Nepal experience for first-timers to the Nepal Himalaya. It is especially suitable for those with limited holiday time and also for those that aren’t quite up to the challenge that comes with being above 4000m for several days. This trek takes place on the southern side of the Annapurna Range and provides incredible views of Macchupachare, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Dhaulagiri and more. The trekking route is gentle and never demanding physically but also includes an ascent of Poon Hill for the classic and famous views of the Annapurna Conservation Area. Other highlights of this trek include the scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and two nights staying in Pokhara by the beautiful Phewa Tal (lake).

Annapurna Circuit  (22 days – moderate to challenging)
Like the Everest Circuit, the Annapurna Circuit is a 22 day undertaking. This trek starts at a much lower altitude than treks in the Everest region and the altitude gain is gradual. Crossing the Thorong La pass at 5416m is the most challenging day on this trek but the views are the perfect reward for the effort. Our Annapurna Circuit trek travels in an anti-clockwise fashion around the main Annapurna range. The views keep coming the whole way round and include Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna,nd Dhaulagiri and the Chulus. Nights at Manang, Muktinath and Jomosom are real highlights as are the classic views from Poon Hill.
