Everest Circuit Trek Day 3

Everest Circuit Trek Day 3 is always a rest and acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar. Some of our guests don’t always agree with the use of the word “rest” because in order to enjoy all the spectacular mountain views from Namche Bazaar, there is a little bit of uphill walking involved. We’re pleased to report that our team are having a great time. Learn more about the highlights of our Everest Circuit trekking itinerary.

The weather has been kind and morning visits to the Everest View Hotel and the Namche Bazaar Monastery were enjoyed by all. Not to mention the hike to the Everest View Hotel forms an important part of the team’s acclimatisation process. The crew also went for a “very” early morning walk to the small army outpost that overlooks the town of Namche Bazaar. This is also a popular viewing place as the “Sunrise over Mt Everest” photo below shows. Behind Peter, Suzanne, Darren, David and Yam you can clearly see the early morning sun on the summit of Everest (top left) and Lhotse (4th highest mountain in the world) to the right. This video shows the early morning sunrise from this same location.

No need for too many words today, the images above tell the story from Namche Bazaar. Our trekkers will spend the afternoon relaxing at the Namche Hotel and maybe even some shopping around the local shops and markets. That’s a wrap for Everest Circuit Trek day 3!
