Annapurna Circuit Trek – A Celebrated Himalayan Journey

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the world’s most iconic and rewarding Himalayan adventures, offering an extraordinary blend of stunning natural beauty, high-altitude challenge, and deep cultural immersion over 16 days.

Our journey begins with two preparatory nights in Kathmandu, featuring a vibrant exploration of Thamel and a heritage tour of sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupati Nath, and Boudha Nath. On Day 3, the adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Chame (2,670m), the official starting point of the trek. We then ascend through the Marshyangdi Valley, passing through ancient Gurung, Thakali, and Tibetan-influenced villages, terraced farmlands, and dense pine and rhododendron forests, with spectacular views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal.

Crossing the Iconic Thorong La Pass

The trek steadily climbs through villages like Upper Pisang and the important acclimatization hub of Manang (3,540m). We climb to Thorong Phedi (4,450m) to prepare for the pinnacle of the Annapurna Circuit Trek: the crossing of the formidable Thorong La Pass (5,416m). This challenging, high-altitude ascent rewards you with truly breathtaking panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Nilgiri ranges before descending to Muktinath (3,800m), a highly sacred Hindu-Buddhist pilgrimage site, where we spend an extra day for rest and exploration of the Jwala Mai (Eternal Flame).

The journey then takes a rejuvenating turn with a drive along the historic Kali Gandaki Valley trade route to Tatopani (1,190m) for a soak in natural hot springs. We then trek through Ghorepani and complete the essential hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) for a spectacular sunrise, before descending to the traditional Gurung and Magar villages. The trip includes a nights exploring Pokhara’s man made Phewa Lake and markets, before a flight back to Kathmandu on day 15 for a final night and farewell, concluding a memorable journey.
