My group had the pleasure and privilege to be guided by Tika and Gyan from Trek Climb Ski thru the Tamang Heritage Trail and onto Langtang Valley over a 11 day trek. Having been to Nepal on a previous trip I was keen to try a different area and I couldnโt recommend the Tamang Trail enough, with a more authentic, less touristy area with a more โpath less travelled โvibe about it and with our knowledgeable and highly experienced guides to make the trip even more enjoyable Our hosts at each lodge or tea house made the experience even more pleasant and made us feel so very welcome it was at times like being welcomed into somebodyโs home. At all times our comfort and safety was always front of mind for both our guides and porters, but at the same time they were up for a laugh and had great stories to fill in the evenings with. I couldnโt recommend the crew at Trek Climb Ski more and hope to return one day for another round of NepalPosted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We, a group of 4 very keen, middle aged female hikers, have just returned from an 11-day journey on both the Tamang Heritage Trail followed by the Langtang Valley Trek. This is an honest review of my experience. Sometimes the โtooโsโ prevent us from doing the things we really want to; too old, too fat, too unfit. The only โtooโsโ I had were; too well looked after, too much fun, too much to look at and too grateful! To say it was brilliant is an understatement, without sounding too gushy, it has changed my outlook and perspective on life, kindness, and the generosity of people that have only just met you. Please consider the Tamang Heritage Trail as a destination. I wonโt lie, it is tough going at times with lots of up and down, up and down, but the views are incredible, and the owners of the guest houses were absolutely fantastic. One lady greeted us as sisters, which was beautiful, and the Tamang Heritage Trail offered an authentic Nepalese experience with very little other walkers on the trail. It was very memorable and enjoyable, and I wouldnโt hesitate to walk it again. The Langtang Valley Trek is more widely walked by others and offered a completely different experience. We followed powerful rivers, lush bushland and were very moved seeing the memorial from the 2015 earthquake. The resilience of the people, and how they have managed to rebuild their lives even after the loss of family members, shows great spirit. Once again, we were treated very well by everyone. Trek Climb Ski Nepal, and yes, I know I am writing a review for them, but our guides Tika and Gyan, and our porters Dorje and Basan went above and beyond for us. We were hoping to drop a couple of kilograms, but we feasted like queens from start to finish and had so much tea! The food is consistently good, and the menus offer something for everyone. Tika and Gyan told us stories about the local areas, the religion of people, and how that influences how they live. They shared their families with us, and we laughed every single day on the trek, at them, each other and ourselves. We learnt you canโt control everything and sometimes just need to roll with the hills. Not once did I feel unsafe from either the environment or people, in fact it was quite the opposite. The extremes of Nepal left us all in awe. I will definitely return in the future, and I will absolutely be doing so with Trek Climb Ski Nepal. If you have been thinking about trekking in Nepal, then donโt let the โtooโsโ sway you. They say a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Take that first step, I promise you will have zero regrets and leave a different person with more confidence, resilience and curiosity for what is next. Jam Jam (letโs go in Nepalese!!). Happy trekking! Keryn xPosted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently completed a trek to Everest Base Camp with TCS Nepal and it was a fantastic experience!! Nick and Tika's knowledge of the journey and what to expect was invaluable. I can't thank them enough for giving us a safe set of hands to guide us through to our destination.Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had the most amazing experience trekking to Everest Base Camp with Trek Climb Ski Nepal. Nick and Tikaโs extensive knowledge of the area enriched each day. The trek was broken down into achievable chunks and as long as you didnโt think too much on what lay ahead it was enjoyable to take it each step at a time! The team at TCSN has designed a well thought out trip, including the time in Kathmandu, that provides a rich experience of Nepal and an almost indescribable sense of achievement at the end of the trek. I cannot recommend TCSN and the EBC trek highly enough. If you wondering if you can do it - Iโm here to tell you that you definitely can and you definitely should!Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This would have to have been the best experience I've ever had. I can't count how many times I looked up and around and shook my head in amazement. Nick, Tika and the team are true professionals that made each and every one of us feel like a part of the family. Thank you so much for a memory that will forever be etched into my brain.Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Completing Everest Base Camp with Trek, Climb, and Ski was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences. Tikka, Nick, and the incredible team of porters, along with all the members, made this journey truly unforgettable. I couldn't have reached this milestone without your support and guidance. Thank you!Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My sister & I did EBC in October 2024 with Tika as our Guide and Nim as our porter. I am still trying to work out how to describe this incredible adventure. The TCS team experience from the moment we reached out to Nick to ask our first questions to the last moment we left Kathmandu airport with Tika was perfection. There was no question left unanswered, and nothing we felt could have been better. Nepal had experienced extreme flooding just before we arrived in Nepal which meant that we needed a #plan2 and Tika & Nick organised a helicopter flight into Lukla within moments after us asking. After touchdown, the next 9 days were filled with more "wows" "amazing" "incredible" than could fill a lifetime. The Tea houses we stayed in were lovely and the hosts always ready with a smile. We were fortunate only being a group of 2 of us to have ensuite rooms most of the way up the mountain. This, and that Lukla airport closed for 5 days after our arrival meant that we experienced a very quiet EBC trek. There were moments on the trail when we were the only people for km's at a time. We took Diamox and Travelan Tablets (look these up - they are the BEST) which kept us healthy in the main part (aside from a sinus infection and slight altitude sickness) and the restaurants Tika took us to were clean, and the food delicious. We drank bottled water most of the way aside from in our tea. The cost of this got more expensive as we went up as you can imagine, but the cost was about $1AUD -$1.50 for 1L most of the way and $5AUD Goreksep, Our Porter Nima was always smiling and sped along the trail with music which made us dance and laugh. Tika was the perfect guide and host. He knew everything and everyone, was patient with our questions and made sure at every moment we were comfortable, happy and healthy. We helicoptered out of Periche (we planned this) as I have a broken bone in my foot and walking down is extraordinarily painful and the chopper was a great experience. What took 9 days from Kathmandu was over in 50 minutes. If you are considering EBC - dont worry about looking at any other tour companies. Trek Climb Ski are incredible and I would recommend them to everyone.Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've now been 4 times to Nepal with Trek Climb Ski, twice to Everest Base Camp and once on the Annapurna circuit, and recently to Mera Peak. The experiences were fantastic - challenging, exhilarating and interesting. All these treks live on in my memory, I love Nepal and would love to go back. The service, care and friendliness of the Trek Climb Ski staff was second to none, it's like a big family!Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the most amazing experience climbing Mera Peak with Trek Climb Ski Nepal. Our guides Gyan and Lakpa were so experienced and looked after so well. Nepal and the Himalayas are an incredible part of the world and we were so fortunate to have experienced it with such wonderful people. The itinerary was well thought out, clearly based on a lot of experience, and it set us up for success. Weโve been to Nepal previously and it was wonderful to retrace our steps to Namche and the Everest View Hotel. These first few days allowed us some trekking time with Tika and the great people he was taking to Everest Base Camp. It was an inspired option put to us by Tika to do a pre dawn walk to the Everest View Hotel to see sunrise and get the best views of the day. Due to recent floods the roads to Rammechap were badly damaged, which would have made the first days of our trek very difficult. Tika and Gyan worked very hard behind the scenes to organise helicopter flights to Lukla. We came across many other groups who had not been so lucky. Highly recommended Trek Climb Ski Nepal for your next adventure.
