Overview

Manaslu Circuit Trek

Our Manaslu Circuit Trek offers one of Nepalโ€™s most stunning and culturally rewarding trekking experiences. Encircling the magnificent Mount Manaslu (8,163m) – the eighth-highest mountain in the world – this journey takes you deep into the remote valleys of northern Gorkha, where Tibetan and Nepalese cultures blend seamlessly against a backdrop of snow-capped Himalayan peaks.

The first part of the Manaslu Circuit Trek follows the spectacular Budhi Gandaki River Valley, passing through lush forests, terraced hillsides, and picturesque Gurung villages. Gradually, the landscape transforms into a rugged alpine environment as we approach the high mountain settlements of Samagaon and Samdo. Along the way, trekkers enjoy breathtaking views of Manaslu, Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Ganesh Himal, and the distant Annapurna range.

From Samagaon, we spend a crucial acclimatisation day exploring the rich cultural heritage of the region – including visits to ancient monasteries and yak pastures beneath Manasluโ€™s towering north face. This rest period ensures you are fully prepared for the exciting days ahead as we trek toward the dramatic Larkya La Pass (5,160m), the highest point of the journey.

Manaslu Circuit Trek Adventure

The crossing of Larkya La Pass is the highlight of the Manaslu Circuit, offering a panoramic Himalayan vista stretching from Manaslu to Himlung Himal and Annapurna II. The descent into the beautiful valley of Bhimtang feels like stepping into another world – a pristine alpine paradise surrounded by glacial lakes and forests of pine and rhododendron. From here, we continue to Tilje and Dharapani, where the Manaslu trail connects with the classic Annapurna Circuit.

Throughout the trek, our experienced guides ensure comfort, safety, and a rewarding cultural experience. Nights are spent in welcoming lodges where you can relax by the fire and enjoy hearty Nepali meals after days filled with exploration and mountain scenery.

bimthang village on the manaslu circuit trek

โ€œI’ve travelled a lot throughout Nepal and this is hands down one of the best trips I’ve done. A totally different experience to the busier Everest and Annapurna regions and I loved the remoteness. Thanks Tika and Gyan for an awesome trip.โ€

Day 2

After a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, we set off on a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmanduโ€™s cultural highlights. We begin at Pashupatinath Temple, Nepalโ€™s most sacred Hindu site, where sadhus, pilgrims and rituals line the banks of the Bagmati River.

Next is the serene Boudhanath Stupa, one of the worldโ€™s largest Buddhist stupas. Surrounded by prayer flags and spinning wheels, itโ€™s a peaceful contrast to the bustle of the city.

We finish at Durbar Square, the historic heart of Kathmandu, home to centuries-old temples, courtyards and royal palaces.

After the tour, the afternoon is at leisure, with our team available to assist anyone needing last-minute gear or supplies. The evening is free to relax, explore or enjoy one of the cityโ€™s many great restaurants.
